Sculpture Gallery Showcase
Echoes of Ladakh
This sculpture was created in 2022 during my MFA course at Shantinikitan kala bhavan .
the sculpture depict - the skeletal form resembling a spine, city structure rising from it, and my portrait lying amidst it all evoke a sense of displacement , burden, memory, and roots. Considering my longing for Ladakh while being near the city of Kolkata.

Ashes Remember
This sculpture beautifully captures fragility- the fractured yet dignified face, the crumbling materiality, and the ephemeral quality of charcoal and paper mache all speak to impernance and quite decay.

Silent Enemy
This sculpture was I created during COVID-19 pandemic .
The sculpture depict a figure shouting upwards and backwards at the virus perched behind them speaks volumes about the frustration ,anger, and perhaps even a scene of being ambushed by the pandemic.
The contrasting texture and forms on the lower part of the sculpture are particular compelling. The ''cavity'' representing the impact of the virus and the opposing masked side vividly illustrate the vulnerability and the measure taken for protection.

Balancing the Ice
This scrape sculpture indicate challenges of chadar trek which takes place during the winter month in the zangskar region of Ladakh at a high altitude of 11000 to 12000 feet above sea level.
Balancing of porter on a thin formed of ice and understanding between those porter and thin formed of ice.
porter carry heavy loads of food, campaign gear and other supplies for trek. the load can be weight up to 30-40 kg. Make it physically challenged and tiring but still they walked by balancing on that unpredictable ice condition.
